The New England National Party (NENP)

The primary purpose of the New England National Party (NENP) shall be to provide political agency to the broad masses of the people of New England, in order to reclaim our governance structures, and ensure they function for the liberty, virtue, and prosperity of New England.

We reject the existing binary political machine that lords over our nation, seemingly unfettered by any sense of obligation to its inhabitants. The machine demonstrates its contempt for the citizenry at every opportunity and serves only the interests of the privileged classes that hold power.

We hereby remind Republicans and Democrats alike that New England is a distinct region within America and possesses a unique culture and heritage. Our regional needs and interests are being entirely neglected by both major parties, as they pursue the broader national interests of their respective coalitions.

We implore the people of New England to remember who they are, and where they come from. Our region is rich with centuries of history, and over those centuries our forefathers built for us a magnificent land to call our home. Today we see this being taken from us. New families are finding themselves unable to even live in the towns they grew up in, and the younger generations are being forced to abandon their roots, and search for opportunity elsewhere as a result of bad public policy. We reject the notion that this decline is inevitable and will stand united against it. We stand for a revitalized New England.

  • Liberty

The first pillar of the NENP platform is liberty. Liberty was the founding principle of the American revolution, which began on our soil in New England. To this day "liberty" defines that fundamental personality quality of the American people; The desire to be left alone. Currently our liberty pillar contains two primary elements for our party: Home rule, and medical freedom.

Home rule is an age-old New England tradition, and despite being codified throughout the 20th century, it has been under constant attack by the behemoths of state and federal government for decades now, and is not available in the state of New Hampshire. This is primarily due to the steep decline in localism, which has been encouraged by both public policy and culture.

We have seen blatant examples of the overwhelming power of the state governments over the local citizenry in the 2024 migrant crisis, which struck a multitude of states throughout the country, but particularly Massachusetts and Maine. Our governors have all acted with utter disregard for the townships in placing refugees, often with disastrous consequences. Another striking example of state overreach was the effort in Connecticut to reach into the townships and seize control of zoning, under the guise of promoting “diversity and equity”. As usual in our beloved democracy, the local citizenry was not consulted.

The NENP will be a champion for home rule and localism, as local residents will always know what is best for their own communities more than state bureaucrats and the plethora of “nonprofits” who lobby our legislatures.

Medical freedom is an issue that has existed for many years but rose to prominence in the 2020 Covid crisis. That dreadful year starkly demonstrated the cold indifference of the state to the rights of the citizenry, and illustrated just how out of touch the government has become with the needs and wishes of everyday citizens.

The NENP will advocate for the medical freedom of families and individuals and always endeavor to protect citizens from persecution on these grounds.

  • Prosperity

The second pillar of the NENP platform is prosperity. Prosperity should be achievable for all of our citizens, and can be if we return to sound financial principles. The populace must understand that the land and her people are what produce wealth, and the adversarial relationship between public and private sectors must be rectified. The starting focal points for our prosperity pillar shall be taxation, and energy.

New England states are all well known for their high costs of living, and taxes are a considerable contributor to this (yes, even for you New Hampshire). Legislatures are constantly seeking new revenues to feed the ever-swelling public sector, which continuously establishes new departments and services that the citizenry must fund.

The NENP shall field a fresh perspective on tax policy, to bring taxation in line with the needs and reality of the 21 st century. Not merely reduction, but outright elimination of many taxes will be pursued, to both streamline state revenues, and alleviate the burden on the citizenry.

Energy is the lifeblood of any economy, and across New England it is in short supply. The government is committed to its opposition to fossil fuels, and a very sizable minority has supported this agenda, ostensibly to combat climate change. If this is indeed the direction the citizenry wishes to take, then alternative and sustainable sources of energy should be pursued.

Currently this is not being done in a reasonable manner by our state governments, and the baffling obsession with offshore wind energy has soured a large portion of the coastal population against this endeavor.

The NENP believes it is imperative that any energy policy in New England states prioritizes environmental protection, as our idyllic landscape is one of our regions sacred hallmarks but also has in mind the needs of a 21st century economy and citizenry.

  • Virtue

Virtue is the third and most important pillar of the NENP platform. Many argue that virtue is not a province of politics, and when considering America's current assortment of political leaders, they appear to be right, but this is not as it should be. The inspiration and revitalization of American virtue throughout New England in this decadent modern age is a primary goal of the NENP. This pillar shall be the most complex one of our party platform, but currently the primary elements shall be education and immigration.

Education is the most obvious area to address. The state today has a monopoly on this, but traditionally education began at home, and in the local community. Life itself is a full spectrum education, and we hope to positively influence the culture and atmosphere throughout our region with our encouragement of local pride and volunteerism. The state government can facilitate this course correction by stripping away the cultural absurdity of “wokeness” from curriculum’s and refocusing public education on the fundamentals. Every involved parent will tell you that schools should focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic, and the NENP agrees that parents know best what their children should be learning.

Now we come to immigration, which may rightly confuse some as to just how it fits into the topic of “virtue”. Unfettered immigration has fundamentally transformed the character of New England, and the utter lawlessness of the state government’s approaches has severely damaged the overall civic virtue of our communities. Sanctuary cities and states flagrantly repudiate federal immigration law and set a civic example that does unfathomable damage to our populace’s confidence in the ancient principles of common law.

The NENP will promote a reversal of this course, to encourage cooperation with federal authorities in enforcing immigration law. We will lead by example to promote public virtue. This organization will always prioritize honesty and transparency with the citizenry, and not play the game of murderous smiles that the major parties engage in.
