NENP Marching for Life, Liberty, Prosperity, and Virtue.
March, 2025
On March 19th, the New England National Party attended its first public event, joining the March for Life in Hartford, Connecticut. Notably, this is the only state march for life event in New England, and our members were keen on making it our inaugural official gathering, to establish that the New England National Party is the pro-life party of American politics. Our members reported a tremendously successful and energizing experience, with extensive interest in our political initiative from fellow attendees. The assembled organizations marched for Life, and the NENP marched with them for life, liberty, prosperity, and virtue. Our representatives fielded numerous questions from attendees, many focused on the slogans of our business cards, “Family Traditions, Community Values, and Economic Independence. In this entry we will endeavor to flesh out these concepts for potential participants.
Economic Independence: This is a fairly straightforward objective on which we have received full agreement from both left and right alike whenever discussing the subject. This statement emanates from our value of localism, which encourages New Englanders to invest their time and money in local business and industry before participating in the global economy. We use the word invest, because when you spend your money in your own community, it tends to stay in and advance the interests of your own community. We receive support on this position from conservatives who are rediscovering nationalism, and from liberals who chiefly have environmental concerns in mind. They may have different paths to reaching it, but they have the same end destination; Localism. Ironically both the mainstream political parties that this demographic adheres to has utterly betrayed them on their core issues. The Republican Party long ago abandoned nationalism in accordance with the wishes of its corporate masters that worship at the altar of capitalism, while the Democratic Party long ago abandoned true environmental stewardship for the exact same reasons but was clever enough to cloak it with egalitarian moral high ground. In all of this, the citizenry gets neglected and left behind, and the politicians have allowed our homeland to devolve into an unsustainable condition that directly impacts families in our respective states.
Values: Here in New England we have a long history of tightly knit communities, and a deep culture of volunteerism and civic engagement. The modern age has directly attacked this history and culture, largely with communications technology which has created a false sense of broader community; a mirage of belonging that will never slake the natural human thirst for belonging. Our younger generations feel this thirst the most. Never before have we possessed so many avenues of communication, yet never before have people been so isolated. The NENP seeks to bring New Englanders back to an awareness of their roots, of who they are, where they come from, and where they belong.
Family Traditions: Now we come to things that matter most. It has been observed that “politics is downstream of culture”, and with that mindset we believe that our political movement must pay strong attention to native culture and its needs. Where does culture come from? Why from our people of course, and the fundamental building block of any people is the family. New Englanders love their families, their neighbors, their countrymen, and frankly the entirety of humanity. “With liberty and justice for all” is a decidedly New England egalitarian message. Notable moral crusades such as the temperance Movement, the Women’s suffrage movement, and Abolitionism all had New England roots, stemming from the deep moral foundations laid by our Puritan ancestors. Now in the modern age, mass media has corrupted our egalitarian spirit, and turned it away from our own families and communities. Leaving home as soon as possible is encouraged, and moving away from boring little New England towns to the bright lights of the big cities across America is romanticized. There is much injustice to be fought across the world, but there are also monumental problems faced right here at home, and we need our best people to take them on. How can families keep their traditions, and sustain our local culture, when they are scattered across our broad land (often due to economic necessity) and fed fanciful dreams that draw them away from their moorings? The NENP will work in all its endeavors to return the focus of our peoples spirit inward to the land where they come from, and the land where they belong. New England is truly a national treasure, and we must ensure our entire populace is able to see this, and grounds their identity within it.
There are many who say the “culture war” between conservatives and liberals in America has ended, and often, depending on which of the mainstream political party holds higher office, that appears to be true. The reality is that the culture war has never really been waged, because the American people, and New England specifically, have never had a true champion. Many individual fighters have come and gone, but they have always stood alone, without the political power to ever achieve true victory. The New England National Party now declares its full participation in the culture war.
