NENP Marching for Life, Liberty, Prosperity, and Virtue.

April 19 th, Patriot’s Day: I joined thousands of others at the Old North Bridge in Concord, MA for the 250 th commemoration of the Battles of Lexington and Concord which ignited the Revolutionary War. Crossing the iconic bridge, after the festivities were over and people were dispersing, I found my internet friends by their sharp New England National Party flag. A welcome sight after the perplexing “Free Khalil” and “No Kings, No Tyrants” signs more popular among the woke inhabitants of the Commonwealth. We walked along, handing out flyers as I plied the NENP guys with questions. Here's how you know it’s a worthwhile movement: NENP is creating an action-oriented infrastructure that carries out and flows down President Trump’s aphorism to Make America Great Again. Everyone chants this; I still wear the red hat jogging in every state in which I find myself. But what is greatness, and how are people outside the DC beltway going to accomplish it within their own communities? The key distinguishing feature of NENP is its intention to be a registered political party. Not simply a reactionary movement making political demands of the established order, like the Tea Party or Occupy Wall Street. NENP’s goal is to elect NENP-registered politicians at the local, and up to state, level. The ultimate goal described to me is the election of an NENP Governor. This is a smart and reasonable vision. Minor parties, while arguably a distraction at the presidential level, provide contrast within the morass of local level politics. The Republican party is splintering, and zealous conservatives within the party are jaded by decades of local RINO leadership. RINO Republican municipal-level politicians like to say they’re “pro-local business” (a globalist tagline repeated to never-Trumper, either-Cheney boomers). These same local elected officials will allow a liquor store to buy and knock down a well-maintained 1930s home in the middle of a residential neighborhood to expand its parking lot. And willingly bring in a turnkey Chinese subsidiary over nurturing American start-ups, simply because it’s “investment in our community.” All under the deceptive header of “pro-local business” chanted by registered-Republican RINOs. I neither recognize nor acknowledge these actions as “Republican.” Yet, a more conservative challenger will have a hard time convincing the jaded public of a “different kind of Republican” for whom they should vote. This is where minor parties add context to the tapestry of local political ideology and vision. Often in small towns, there will be only 1-3 challengers for a given town/city council seat. So running as a minor party candidate gives the challenger the advantage of conservative talking points, as well as street cred to guarantee a different outcome. NENP will provide this opportunity in the New England states. Speaking of which: the other distinctive characteristic of NENP as both a movement and minor political party is its regional orientation and mission. I could go on about how special and unique New England is, because it is. The birthplace of the nation, with its ancient battle scars and lessons learned, cries out for a regionally specific solution. But the argument can also be made that the several distinct and valuable regions among these many states are also well-served at the local level by remembering their histories and traditions. Big box stores in identical strip malls, generic food chains, Amazon gadgets arriving from a nearby warehouse: these features of modern life don’t enhance or resemble any of the historic regions of this country. In the past, you’d go on vacation to distant places where people sounded different, food tasted different, and they wore different styles that you could only get there. The experience inspired you to buy keepsakes and postcards by which to remember it. Now, visiting other places has all the comforts of home – and none of the excitement of being in a strange land. Regions are losing their character to the sameness of globalism. Regionalism is part of the key to restoring American greatness. Understanding that common values, tastes, and tendencies reach only so far geographically. I lived in Massachusetts for 17 years: from the reversal of the curse, to the Boston marathon bombing, to the unlikely election of a Republican Boston Mayor. When I think of a movement defined by New England nationalism, I know exactly what that means. New England is about self-sufficiency, frugality, and toughness. It’s about leaving the bits of forest and woods, laced throughout and between towns, just as they are. You don’t know who owns those adventure trails, but you know no one would dare suggest developing a "light industrial” upon it. As I saw on Patriot’s Day, it’s about opposing groups gathering together peacefully toward the higher goal of appreciating history. New Englanders follow the rules, lead honest lives, and don’t tolerate anyone who can’t abide by these terms. NENP astutely observes that all of the characteristics I just mentioned are shared by those who voted for both Republicans and Democrats in November. New Englanders have much in common when it comes local governance. NENP will inspire those left behind by both parties locally, and move the needle back toward the historical truth of traditional values. Vanessa Battaglia

In a unique alignment, one of our most sacred days of history in New England fell during Holy Week this year. The 250 th anniversary of Lexington and Concord seems to have escaped the notice of the rest of the country, but to those of us attending the ceremonies at The Old North Bridge in Concord, it felt as if all of New England had come. This was in fact the inaugural event for the NENP in the state of Massachusetts, and it proved to be a resounding success for all members. Grounding our movement on the legacy of our forefathers was an essential step for the organization, as it is their true spirit of liberty that we intend to carry forward into the 21 st century. Present, were various government officials and dignitaries, who delivered carefully rehearsed remarks within the accepted realms of thought. These speeches our politicians give could easily all be written by AI in this current age, as their droll regurgitated words have been spoken in various combinations ten thousand times before, to different audiences. Our sacred history belongs to the people of New England and should not be exploited by the principle bereft politicians. Gone are the titans of leadership that built our country in colonial times, and in their positions today we now have little more than salesmen, who wrap up their failed vision for our future in tasteful remarks, that grant us no sustenance. The politicization of the event was disappointing, but not unexpected. Nevertheless, our members were not there to see the politicians, but to honor the legacy of our ancestors, and commune with our present-day countrymen. The assortment of material we brought along was generally very well received, with several attendees expressing great enthusiasm and excitement at seeing a new grassroots initiative at work. Some minor unpleasant confrontations did occur, notably with “Indivisible” participants, who had turned out in force with various handmade signs to voice their opposition to the Trump administration. Hardly the time and place for such demonstrations, but we paid them little mind. These people mean well but possess a woefully poor understanding of the reality behind modern politics. The New England National party marches on now, just as Saturday’s parade across The Old North Bridge did. We march for Liberty, Prosperity, and Virtue. These are not “rights” but duties. The NENP is unique in the political landscape in understanding that our words are not merely pacifying platitudes but have a real culmination point; Power for our people to once again shape our own destiny, as we did 250 years ago. The time for disingenuous politicians is coming to a close, as authentic men of action step forward onto the scene. - The NENP

In New England, there are wealthy counties, and there are poor counties. I’m from one of the poor counties. When I go to the wealthy counties, or to a wealthy area in another New England state, I’m in awe of the differences. In the wealthy counties, there are things like the Mathnasium, the Russian School of Mathematics. There are fancy gyms with CrossFit, MMA, yoga, tai chi. There are nice dance schools, music schools, and gymnastic academies. We have some of those things, but not in the quantity or quality I observe in the wealthier areas. But there’s one upside to living in a poorer area. For some reason, the poorer areas are more conservative, and the wealthier areas are more liberal. A child living in a wealthier area usually has more advantages and opportunities than a child in a poorer area. But I found one exception; In the poor counties, the family court judges, and probate judges tend to be conservative and refuse to approve “gender affirming care for minor children.” In the wealthier areas, the judges more often let the children get chemically castrated and surgically mutilated because it’s the latest “right thing to do, right side of history.” For once, growing up in a poorer area has an advantage! The judge I know about who refused “gender affirming care for minor children” was threatened with “BAR discipline” by the state office in charge of the judges. This judge said, “I would love to be disciplined publicly for refusing to approve gender affirming care for minors. I will frame the disciplinary document and hang it in my office next to my law license and law school diploma.” If you are a right-thinking lawyer, try to become a probate judge. It’s typically an elected office. You’ll have to join your Republican or Democrat town committee and go to meetings and do a campaign. But then you’ll have a cushy state job with gold plated health insurance and a decent salary. Your clerk will have decades of experience and will do most of the real work for you. Most importantly, you’ll be in a position to protect children from the gender madness, and from Munchausen moms who want to use their children for attention and government money. I have repeatedly been advised that the path to populist victory in Connecticut is through the Republican Town Committees, hereafter in this article referred to as “RTCs”. This comports with the observable discourse among disaffected Republicans, who know that there is clearly a problem with their party but are uncertain how to go about fixing it. Unfortunately, this situation is not new, but nothing has come of it in the past. Do we remember the TEA Party? What about Occupy Wall Street on the left? Efforts to press the political establishment on both sides of the aisle have consistently failed and burned out, because the political establishment does not want to be reformed, and the electorate currently does not posses the will to force reform upon them. The Democratic Party is a private political club, beholden to the wealthy donors who set the objectives, that utilizes emotionally charged arguments to parasitize on the egalitarian nature of white Americans, and cater to the grievances of various minority groups. The author is obviously no friend of the Democratic Party, but their model has been in use since at least the 1960s, and has been fabulously successful due to the (orchestrated) collapse of the public education system. This is exactly why we see such strong devotion to liberalism and the Democratic Party here in New England, because we suffer from an abundance of over education, or more precisely over schooling. If only we had listened to Mark Twain; “I never let my schooling interfere with my education.” Now I shall address the Republican Party as this is the faction with the most disgruntled rank and file, while the Democratic Party continues to enjoy a far more compliant base, despite the challenges of their rainbow coalition strategy. We seem to have developed this fanciful idea that the Republican Party functions as a democracy, which is simply not the case. The Republican Party is also a private club, with visible leadership that serve as figureheads and mouthpieces for the real power; the money holders. What then even are RTCs?  Well the truth is that if RTCs had any real power, then the Republican leadership would not allow them to exist. The actual purpose of RTCs is to capture the politically minded and motivated private citizens and diffuse their energy into a benign endeavor that will not threaten the establishment. No doubt many RTC participants will be filled with ire at this statement, because it certainly feels like they are doing something that matters, but ask yourselves, what have you actually accomplished in the grand scheme of things? Have the ripples you made even reached the pond? Or are you deliberately isolated in a vernal pool, so as not to disrupt the status quo as you intend? The status quo of power, or “system” is everything to the state level politicians. This is why they so often proclaim the importance of “our democracy” (its not ours, its theirs) and how sacred it is. In this system meritocracy is not valued, compliance with the party agenda is. The real purpose of an RTC to these people is not to build the party from the ground up, but to keep the politically minded citizenry corralled and occupied, much in the same way that televised sports and various other entertainments do for the apolitical broad masses. Think back to the Republican’s most recent failed gubernatorial candidate, Bob Stefanowski. Did HE come from an RTC? Or did he strike directly for the head of the beast in the same fashion as President Trump back in 2016? The author has the conviction that seizure of the RTCs by grassroots activists, while potentially a useful tactic for forming a local network, is not a viable strategy for rectifying the ailments permeating Connecticut politics. Now dear reader, do not take any of this criticism as an excuse for inaction. “There's nothing you can do, because the power structure will not allow you to have a voice!” No, that is not at all what I advocate. The politically minded man has a duty to take action in politics, but he must be astute and observe which pathways are dead ends or traps carefully laid by the adversary. We are like Christian in John Bunyan’s famous work “The Pilgrim’s Progress”. Christian knows the destination he seeks, but cannot yet see it unless he stays strong in the faith, and follows the narrow path. There are dozens of political action organizations in Connecticut. Focus your efforts on things that matter, and reject the Republican RTC trap. Defining Ideology To address a question that has been received numerous times now; The New England National Party is not a libertarian party. While many of the values we promote are shared by libertarians, and many of our members are (recovering) libertarians themselves, we emphatically reject the platform of the Libertarian Party in America as both inadequate, and unserious in addressing the modern problems facing our nation. The NENP is developing from a foundation of populism and nationalism within the common people of New England. We do not have credentialed writers and intellectuals who have established party dogma for us to coalesce around, we are building that center for ourselves, and from the ground up. This places the NENP in the unique position of being a true grassroots initiative. With no established influential personalities dominating and directing the discourse, the members themselves will be able to have genuine dialogue concerning the building and direction of the party. Unlike the established political parties throughout the country, leadership will be transparent and accessible to rank and file members, as the founding members and De facto leaders of the party are entirely committed to building a party “of the people”. It is understood that each and every person will bring their own presuppositions and influences to the NENP. This will create the “diversity of ideas” that conservatives often advocate for, but in practice the Republican Party has never provided for them. This early after its establishment, all NENP members and affiliates will also be contributors. Their ideas will be heard and their perspectives considered, which is something that is entirely unheard of in our current political system. Through this process we hope to build the core of a movement that will challenge the political establishment throughout New England.  The platform is established, and pillars are clear, although additions to it are certainly expected as the party grows in size and scope. As for ideology, this will always be guided by one principle; Is it best for New England? Now let there be no confusion on where the founding membership stands, the NENP is a nationalist and populist party. - The NENP

NENP Supports HB5629 The NENP officially endorses HB5629 as submitted by Connecticut State Representative Cara Pavalock-D’Amato. Medical freedom is a pillar of the NENP platform and is an issue of significant personal importance to many of the founding members. We appreciate those elected representatives who pursue policies that increase the liberties of Connecticut families, and will be pressuring officials to pass this bill, and rectify the significant discrimination that was implemented upon the removal of Connecticut's prior standing religious exemption. An Old Crisis with a New Solution The 2024 presidential election perfectly illustrated two irrefutable truths: One, the Democratic Party is entirely dominant in this region of the country, and two, the Republican Party is incapable of contesting the Democrats agenda. New England reaffirmed its position as a solid blue region, in stark contrast with the rest of the country, despite a significant portion of registered voters being unaffiliated in all six states. This should make it clear to all observers that the New England region of our country is a culturally and politically unique region that has been misunderstood and misrepresented by the existing major parties. New perspectives and leadership are needed. For many of the insulated wealthy, Democratic dominance is not at all an issue, as they receive exactly what they have voted for from the Democratic Party and are not interested in change. For the educated working class across New England though, this is an unmitigated financial and cultural disaster. Middle class and working-class families are being torn apart and uprooted, because their children simply cannot afford to live in the towns they grew up in upon reaching adulthood. Moving south used to be an activity for retirees to escape our harsh winters, but now we see our younger demographic fleeing in droves to escape a staggering cost of living. Everyone is aware of this problem, although some choose not to acknowledge it as it does not personally affect them. Social welfare programs are the first answer from the ruling elite. While it is certainly good for struggling young families to have support, bankrupt states devoid of a tax base simply cannot afford social welfare, and so they continually seek out fresh tax revenues, exacerbating the issue even more. As the hemorrhaging of residents continues, our rulers then turn to immigration to replace the shrinking tax base. This strategy is laughably absurd, because the vast majority of immigrants have been refugees from such shattered countries as Somalia and Haiti, who bring little with them except the clothes on their backs and are immediately in need of public assistance themselves. This also introduces the “cultural disaster” which was noted earlier here, and which no existing political party will honestly address. The introduction of foreign cultures at such high rates has and will continue to fundamentally transform our native culture, until our states become unrecognizable. Street takeovers on I-95 in Connecticut come to mind, as do heinous assaults on young schoolgirls in Maine. Surely after decades of such terrible mismanagement, the Republican Party would have a well-articulated solution, and a plan for upsetting the Democrat dominance across the region? Far from it. In repeated cases we have seen the Republican Party field utterly atrocious candidates for otherwise winnable seats, while sidelining and even openly attacking some promising young participants. The Republican Party across New England (with some states notably being worse than others) has utterly failed to understand the changing times and allowed the neocon old guard to mire them in defeat and irrelevancy. Let them continue to congratulate themselves on “running a good campaign” after their failures. Here at the New England National Party, we will build for the future.

All members and associates of the New England National Party (NENP) hereby formally denounce HB6831. The bill underwent its first public hearing of the legislative session today in Hartford, before the Planning and Development Committee. As has been noted by numerous private citizens and various activist groups from across Connecticut, this bill is an egregious assault on the age-old tradition of Home Rule in our state. This bill is the brainchild of an out of state developer lobbying group known as “Desegregate CT” which cloaks its personal enrichment agenda with a name that speaks to well-meaning, but uninformed egalitarian minded citizens. HB6831 empowers direct manipulation of Connecticut townships by the state and is a significant encroachment on the traditional independence they have enjoyed since colonial times. The residents of a particular township know what is best for their respective communities, not the out-of-date bureaucracy in Hartford. We reject this legislative effort to silence the voice of the people in their local affairs. Respectfully, The men and women of the NENP

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong has sparked controversy by touring capitol and coastal sanctuary cities to reassure immigrant communities amidst the Trump administration’s impending federal immigration law enforcement. Critics argue that Tong's actions exceed his legal duties and may represent a conflict of interest given his immigrant background and vocal pride in his heritage. Some question whether his personal and ideological motivations are influencing his ability to impartially serve Connecticut's native-born citizens. This has raised concerns about his adherence to state-defined official duties and potential bias in protecting illegal immigrants.
